Overview

I wrote a book and decided what better way to keep it then to design a book to keep it in. So I designed the cover in Photoshop. I used some art I had made in Illustrator for the title page and the rest was made in InDesign.

Explanation

For the title I chose Trattatello because I felt it summarized the books overall intensity. I then chose Georgia for the body font because not only is it beautiful but it fits along with the theme well. Lastly I chose Dancing Script for the chapter heads to add a touch of romance.

Final Thoughts

I really enjoy how this turned out. It’s very satisfying to see something you’ve put so much time into become a physical object. I’m glad I took the extra time to design this and I’m happy I’ll have the ability to look back on this later.
