Alliance for Equality
Overview
This was a promotional piece I did for my college LGBT club, which I later became president of. It’s a poster with a pad of informational handouts attatched. This way students can tear off the information and take it with them.
Design Elements
Explanation
I based my color choices off of the clubs original logo colors. Then all that was left was font choices. I picked Myriad Pro for its professional clean look. Then I used Marker Felt to add a fun friendly header. I also chose the saying “Take one down pass it around” to appeal to a college aged sense of humor.
Concept
Hand Out Designs
I designed 8 different versions of the handouts originally so the club could go through and pick their favorite design. After discussing it for 3 meetings in a row they decided they couldn’t decide. We ended up using all of them so every time one is pulled off there’s a new fresh design underneath.
